Good news for Pandora fans in the US as shopping site Rue La La will be running a sale on Pandora jewellery next Tuesday (the 25th of August)! The sale offers significant discounts on retired Pandora products, and usually includes charms, jewellery and watches. I love the banner for this month’s sale, and I’m hoping that there’ll be some interesting pieces this time around:
The sale is due to start at 11am EDT on Tuesday and is listed on the Rue La La site:
The best discounts tend to go pretty quickly, so it’s recommended that you purchase the items you want sooner rather than later. Readers should note that Rue La La often take a while to dispatch items – a month is not unusual. When adding items to your cart, take a look at Rue La La’s estimated dispatch date in the items’ descriptions (see below). :)
For the uninitiated, Rue La La is a US shopping website, which specialises in offering discounts from designer products. International readers should bear in mind that Rue La La is a US website, and will only ship to the continental US. If you want to participate in this sale, then you’ll have to get a friend from the US to help you! They do, however, now accept international credit cards, if you submit a US billing and shipping address – although it is a bit hit and miss as to whether this works or not.

The reason it takes so long for Rue to ship out the orders is because they have to wait for Pandora to send the merchandise to them, then they send it out. They don’t have the merchandise on hand, like with other vendors.
Absolutely! :) i don’t mind waiting at all as the deals are often great but I just like to let people know so they’re not anxious and wondering where their order is ^^
I’m hoping I can find some of the newly retired pieces, particularly the Teapot (for my Disney bracelet), Tree of Lights, and Celebration Cake.
Yes I’d love to see the Teapot on there as well! It’s one of the real Pandora classics that I have never got around to adding to my collection. It’s been pretty good about accepting my UK details lately so fingers crossed I’ll be able to participate this time as well!
Anyone know what that bow charm in the photo above is? Rue sales are the best they have great discounts and big selections I am hoping they have different color leathers as well as multi strands. Been stocking up on a lot of great retired charms lately so would be good to have some new bracelets for them.

thanks to all the ladies for letting me the know the pretty little bow was the original silver present charm, so how did we all do on the rue sale? I just purchased the silver present (soo excited its so cute) and the double black leather bracelet, this is going to be my third leather, I have been very impressed with them and hope to be able to scoop up a few more colors before they are all gone. ;)
I got quite a few bits and pieces! :D I got the single brown leather, the big Ben dangle, the polar bear and… Another cat charm, haha. I’m just so smitten with Billy that I couldn’t resist! ;) You will love the silver present, it is so cute!
Joanne is spot-on, that’s the retired silver present. I’ve also been on a bit of a classic Pandora hunt lately, so I’m excited to see what will be included this time. Hopefully there’ll be some things we haven’t seen before! It looks like the single purple leather is in the campaign image, so perhaps we’ll see some of the other single leathers as well.
Ellie– I had a hunch you were going to pick cozy cat. Glad you did, it’s so cute sitting on his little fluffy pillow. I been thinking how I wanted to pick up the present ever since I saw how detailed it was from all sides especially in the rue promo pic. Plus you can’t go wrong with any color leather cuz they are simple and can be worn with like 2 charms and still look great. I bet the next rue sale will be end of October ( after the 10/9 date where pandora had to stop selling that new retired batch) then maybe we will see some newer pieces I think today’s sale was the same as last time ( or at least jn the charm dept anyway)
Aha, the Cosy Cat probably was predictable! I kept talking about how cute it was in the Pre-Autumn cat review, and so as soon as I saw it on Rue, I was like… well… I think I’d better. ;) The present is really pretty and detailed, I got mine in the last Rue sale!
Yes I bet you’re right about the next Rue sale. I’m hoping they will have the Teapot as it just retired here in the UK as well and I love it! I’ve always meant to get one, I just never got around to it. Today’s sale was mainly leftovers from the last sale I think, yep, but I still found some extras I needed of course. :P
I just got the Fall catalogue. Tree of lights and Celebration cake are still inside. All the other items on the Rue La La banner are already in the Toronto outlet store for 30% off for quite a long time. Birthday blooms and Signature hearts are exciting together inside the new catalogue. I think Canada and U.S. have different retired items, Pandora ship around retired item in different market. Some retired charms still in Hong Kong market, very smart company!
Yes, the websites that still have the celebration cake and tree of lights charms have them marked as retired, so the U.S. and Canada must have different retired items.
The new autumn catalogue in Canada still has the charms in it that are soon to be retired and some of the prices are still incorrect (they didn’t fix all the price changes and some typos) . And a bunch of the charms that are no longer made (no longer available to order for stores) are not being retired yet but are in this catalogue too .
Ahh that makes sense. I got a catalogue from Canada for the Spring 2015 collection and noticed that there were some typos haha. It’s the same for the UK ones. ;)
Ooh I’m mostly jealous that you’ve managed to get hold of one of the new catalogues haha. The UK always takes ages to put out new catalogues and they’re never as good as the North America ones. :( Anyhoo, that’s interesting – I always thought that Pandora North America decided on retiring items for both the US and Canada, but perhaps they are on different schedules! It would be fun if they offered both the Birthday Blooms and the Signature Hearts as it would be nice to be able to choose between the two styles.
U.S. always has the first hand then Canada, ha! ha! I enjoy to go U.S. outlet store for shopping haul, we have tourist to go there. Now, U.S. cross border to open 3 outlets here in Toronto for the past 2 years. We shop here but U.S. has the profit. Our product is few month behind U.S. but I don’t mind as long as is good price and good quality. Coach, Kate spate, Ralph Laurer, Tommy …are cheaper in outlet than in regular mall. Outlet shopping is huge in North America, Japan and South Korea. South Korea has the biggest outlet in Asia, I had been there last year, all American brand name.

Thanks for the heads up, Ellie! I have to say, I thought my last Rue purchase was the best yet; I got two Open Sky spacers and the Black Blossom Murano. Sad part was, when I got the murano, there were 2 chips on the surface that had started to spider out :( I know that the condition of these pieces isn’t guaranteed, but the fact that exchanges aren’t really a possibility is a bit of a letdown since I had always wanted that charm :( I do have some credit on my account though, so hopefully I’ll be able to get something else that I want :)
You’re welcome! That’s such a shame about your murano. :( I have a couple of muranos with chips (due to my own clumsiness :P) but haven’t had any get to point of spidering. That sounds like quite a significant defect, how disappointing. The Open Sky spacers are just so pretty though, and hopefully it’ll go better for you this time! ^^

I don’t think it was invitation only, as it was listed on the general site – it seems to have been taken down for the moment. It’s possible that the sale has been postponed, or that there’s a glitch of some kind. I emailed them to find out :)

So happy to get the Energy Essence bead!!! Just recently started on Essence. I was so upset that they had retired the Energy bead. It was one of my favs! Thanks for the link. Every item i had in my cart said it will ship in 1-2 days. I however could not make a purchase because i am from Canada. I have an American shipping address confirmed with paypal but the site would not let me sign in with a foreign paypal account. Because i could not even sign into it, it could not be confirmed that i had an american shipping address. The site itself would not let me put in a different shipping and billing address in. It kept kicking me out when i tried to do it and would also not accept my canadian address at all. I am very disappointed with the site. They had the polor bear there that i have been trying very hard to get. I have the money, they have the charm but i cant get it. I also wanted the peace symbal and the pave beads i wanted sold out while i was on the phone with them for over an hour trying to get the order to go thru. I even called my credit card company and had the american shipping address added to the card on their advice and even that did not work.
Love your blog. Keep up the good work. Wish that site was modernized to accept my payment.
Yeah, it is a real pain to get it to actually check out if you’re shopping from overseas – foreign Paypal accounts don’t work at all, as you’ve just discovered. If you make a payment with a foreign credit card instead, it sometimes works – you have to put in your American shipping address as both billing and shipping. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn’t. :( I’ve only managed to get it to accept my card the past couple of sales (and actually this time it came up at first as declined and I thought it had flaked on me again, but then I just realised that that particular card had expired, haha. Phew!).

Thanks so much for the tip! I think I successfully completed my family bracelet (well, short of a bracelet but all the charms are ready!) that mean to represent my husband, our two cats and myself. I’m so excited! I got a simple K and T alphabets charms, I prefer this to the dangle ones. Another charm I got is the Bible dangle for my sister-in-law. ^^
I managed to put my random buys into some sort of theme – not bad! And thanks to your Rose Darling Daisy Meadow, now I am also a proud owner of the rose enamel clip and the daisy meadow clip. They look so good, I like the combination of white and pink. But I decide to wear them simple by adding the orchid dangle between them on a bangle. And I am thinking of doing a flower theme when autumn is coming, not that where I live has something called autumn anyway. LOL.
My wallet is not happy but I’m so elated!

Oh good, sounds like you have a nice little haul there! I prefer the silver alphabet charms to the zirconia pendants as well. So much more substantial :D They’ll look lovely on your bracelet I’m sure! I was tempted to get ‘e’ and ‘g’ for me and my boyfriend but I really don’t have anywhere to put them, so I was good and took them out of my basket. ;)
Aw yay! I love the enamel flowers, they’re among my favourite Pandora pieces. The white and pink enamels work particularly well together – the Orchid with them would look so good! I should have thought of that when I did my Orchid review. ^^ I like the idea of flowers for autumn, too. I’m rather a floral kind of person so I quite like adding flowers to my bracelets, whatever season they’re meant to be influenced by, haha.
Aha, I’m in a similar position to you! And I’m sure the Autumn collection release tomorrow is going to do some damage to my wallet too haha.

I tried buying with my UK card and US shipping address, but it didn’t work. I got in touch with them and they were really helpful. She suggested setting up a US Paypal account and paying that way!! It worked but most of the items I wanted were gone sadly. At least now I have a way for next time. Hope this idea helps others. Love your blog!

No worries, Glad to help. I set it up with a US address though. I didn’t register a credit card or account. but you can easily transfer a balance to your US paypal form your UK paypal account.
