The Pandora website has updated with further details of the Pandora Club charm, confirming amongst other details whether the stone in the heart of the charm is a cubic zirconia or a real diamond. There’s no further news on how the charm will be redeemed, but the website offers some tantalising details on the charm itself.

Details

  • The stone in the middle of the charm is confirmed as a diamond – how exciting!
  • The lid will be inscribed with the words ‘Pandora Club 2014’.
  • The prices are reported as £60 for the UK, $75 for the US, $99 AUD for Australia, 69 euros for Europe and 89 CHF for Switzerland. So, there’s a bit of disparity there, as ever.
  • The release date is still vague, merely stated as ‘March 2014’. However, the website clearly states that members will be the first to know its release date, so watch your e-mail inbox, Pandora club members! *UPDATE* The Pandora Club Charm is set to debut on the 13th of March, alongside the Spring 2014 collection.

Obtaining the Charm

Thanks to a kind comment from Pandora Princess, a blog reader who works in a Pandora retailer, we have more information on how to obtain the charm:

‘We’ve been told that club members will receive an email with a voucher and will have to bring the voucher to us in order to purchase the charm. We will be checking the customer’s account in our computer to ensure that they do not purchase more than one.’

Consequently, it looks like Pandora will be limiting customers to how many of this charm they can purchase. I’m all for anything that makes the charm more exclusive, so I’m interested to see how this will work!

My Comment

Some have expressed distaste for the design, wondering what the value of having a diamond-set charm is if it’s not visible when on the bracelet – however, I really like the charm’s design. I’m also a sucker for a ‘collector’s item’, as Pandora have termed it. ^^ Having said that, I hope that this charm is properly limited in numbers, as I was disappointed with the LE Bear My Heart charm, which was available in big quantities for a year after its initial release.

  1. I work for a Shop-in-Shop retailer. We’ve been told that club members will receive an email with a voucher and will have to bring the voucher to us in order to purchase the charm. We will be checking the customer’s account in our computer to ensure that they do not purchase more than one. I’m guessing that the number of charms we get will be tied to our sales volume, so I’m hoping we get at least 100.

    • Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to update us! It’s great to have info from the inside – I’ll update the post. I like the fact that we will be limited to how many we can buy; anything that makes the charm more exclusive!

  2. a ‘new’ voucher reference is given each time you log back in to the email from pandora, you could print out as many vouchers as you want…provided you are able to reserve the charm

    • Heh, the hits just keep on coming with this exclusive club-members’ only thing. I suppose it doesn’t matter too much, so long as the charm itself is properly limited in numbers…
